Will WIC or Medicaid help pay for a breast pump?

WIC will help with a pump. For fully breast feeding mothers they will give a free loan of a hospital grade electric pump. For a partially breast feeding mom they will give a free manual pump. Most WIC offices will try to move heaven and earth to help a mom who wants to fully breast feed, and the food package for a fully breast feeding mom is much bigger. Mom will stay on the program for a full year after birth, and baby will get twice the jars of food once they hit 6 months. Many WIC offices also have breast feeding peer counselors, certified lactation counselors, and IBCLC lactation consultants. All these services are totally free to moms on the program.
