My boyfriend and I both live in a big city. He has a career in law enforcement. He's gotten a promotion and was put in the Special Victims Unit. So, he sees a lot of rape victims and things like that all the time and before he didn't really worry about me too much. I am 14 years old and have the whole summer off. Almost every day I can sleep in as late as I want and have nothing going on. However my mom seems to think she should still tell me when to go to bed. I sustained a nerve injury as a direct result of prolonged 2nd stage of labor, causing me to be hospitalized for 5 days after the vaginal birth because I could not walk. I had a root canal done nearly two years ago on one of my upper tooth in like 3rd to last from the back due to tooth decay. Then I had a filling. After over a year and a half, the filling came out. And few months after, a piece of my tooth fell off. And somehow today, I felt just slightly minor pain in my tooth and my tongue touched the tooth then it started moving. My best friend is always touching me , messing with me , bugging me. I am so stressed out all the time. I work in the finance business, I'm married, have 2 kids, and put in most of the work at home. When he comes home after 8-10 hrs he's been out in the heat doing physical labor and on my late nights I roll in at 9pm so he has those nights to cook. I swear I don't ever sit down and relax. I'd like to think that I would but am not so sure. If I were in a group I would probably be the weakest link and jeopardize the whole team. There is no emergency housing in my area, and People Helping People has closed. There is no section 8 for 2 years. The housing authority is also unable to help at the moment. I have tried the Mercy House, who says they can only house me when my baby comes, and there is no more money to help until mid August. The salvation army has all rooms filled, and First Step a womens shelter says I need to be a victim of domestic abuse. Im sleeping in my car, and living off of food not good for an already sick baby. I only have my mother as family & she lives about an hour away, and is struggling to get by on her own due to helping me as best she can. I am so tired, very sick, at my wits end and am very scared. I am 25 & have never been homeless before. I have always been responsible & financially independant & capable until now. I have already lost my home, and soon my job and my car. Please don't judge me I am the best mom my son could ever have and I spoil him to death. - okay, my son is 3 years old and he has cavaties on all his four front teeth. My first impressions of the novel the"The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini was that is was going to be a very tragic story. Before the audience even knows the protaginist name, we find out that a winder day in 1975 changed his. Right away, I predicted that Amir did something that he still regrets to this day. We find out that he has been trying to forget some secret for 26 years. After Baba's statement, "God help us all if Afghanistan ever falls into hands," I got the feeling that someone of great power was going to take over and control Afghanistan. I got the impression that Amir was jelous of Hassan. I got this impression because of when hassan points out the probelm of the plot of his story. I also got the feeling that Amir picked on Hassan because that was how he could let his anger out. Up to chapter 5 of the novel, Amir doesnt show anger to anyone else, I feel that he only feels comfortable critizing hassan because they are such good frieds. The only part I felt challenging about the novel was all of the characters names. The names sound the same in a way, that part I found a little confusing. I cannot specificall relatate any of my personal experiences to the novel, but however I can relate this novel to the novel NIGHT by Elie Wiesel. So far what I have read about the kite runner is that Amir is struggling with his past. While in the novel the night, Elie is struggling to survive the horrors of the Concentration camps. Both the novels are dealing with someone taking over their country. In the country it seems to me like the Taliban are going to takeover, and in the night it was the Germans who were in control of the Jewish. A question that I was wondering about the novel is why can Baba just accept that his son is not athletic and will not be a spectator? If I was Baba I would feel proud of my son that he was a talented reader and writer, and that sometime he might be a famous author. I also wondered why Amir is afraid to be Hassans true friend, i got the impression it was because he was a servent and didnt want people to think less of him. But i wonder is there more to that? From what I have read so far, i beleive that one of the themes of the novel will be friendship .The characters were well drawn and my heart went out to the trotting-old servant and Hassan. I've had 4 miscarriages in a row, should I give up?

I am 20 years old, my and my Fiance have been trying for the past year to have a baby. I have never had a successful pregnancy although my mother has four, and my sister has three healthy, beautiful children. I have tried taking an 81 mg baby aspirin everyday. I have tried taking hormone pills twice daily prescribed by my doctor. I have even tried quitting my job and staying off my feet, even not having sex. All to no avail. My first pregnancy was the longest, the baby stopped growing shortly after hearing the heartbeat for the first time. All other pregnancies ended almost before they began. I am currently on medicaid which prevents me from being able to see a specialty doctor. So if anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate the insight.

My husband and I are having a baby in three weeks, so we're a family of three all living on one salary--my husband's. Okay, so here's the deal. I have to oppourtunity to work at a summer camp as a cadet staff member. I would work at a cadet military training center. I would get paid 70/day for 7 weeks. I would have to wake up at 5 am and go to sleep no earlier than 10pm, except if you had the evening off. My duties would be to take after cadets, take them where their training takes place, watch them, teach them, socialise with them, make them have a good experience, march them everywhere. so on, so on... I did this last year and I didn't have a good experience. A lot of officers yelled and everyone was basically treated like crap. The camp is 3 hrs away from my home and I would have one oppourtunity to go home. I dont want to go because I dont want to be away from my family for 7 weeks because of certain health issues close family members are going, I have had a very hard year this past school year and I feel as if I just need a break, I have iron problems which cause me to get tired easily and I need a lot more sleep than the average person ( i know i sound lazy ).. , I dont want to be away from my whole life, Ive also graduated from highschool this year and this will be the only summer I have to actually relax. ( I have been going to the military base since I was 12, Im 18 now) .. I fee pushed to go because all the adults in my life are telling me to go 24/7. hi i am 13 year old boy. all my life i have a been a chubby kid and my parents would all ways make fun of me for it. when i was a little kid they would make me want to run to my room and cry, and it felt worse that my parents are skinny. it wasn't till i was 9 i started getting dangourasly obese. when my parents made fun of me i would always turn to food for comfort. now i am 5'4 and 406 pounds. i currently have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and my heart is not beating normally. even now my parents still make fun of my weight. like last week i decided to relax in my hot tub and my mom saw me shirtless and said "jeez, you have bigger boobs than me, do we need to get you a bra." to be honest my 17 year older sister (who is skinny) has been the only person in my family who has never made fun of me and when my parents make fun of me she is always there to say "dont listen to them" and says "i still love you just the way you are." (also my parents make fun of my sister they have said to her she is worthless, stupid, slut, etc. since my parents always call me fat i decided a good way to rebel was to keep eating. so for the past year i have been going to fast food restaurants 2-3 times a day. like yesterday i ate 2 large pizzas, a big mac, and 3 tacos right in front of my parents. after all of that i was full but i pushed my self to eat a whole box of twinkies and a family sized bag of dorritos when i was done i could see the anger in my parents eyes. i took of my shirt so my parents could see my weight gain progress and i started playing with my moobs and saying how mine are nice and big and hers are small and nasty it really hurt her feelings. now i dont so much eat out of revenge now i eat out of pleasure. i am addicted to food and i cant stop. i know what im doing is bad for my health but i cant stop my self from eating large amounts of food. its gotten to the point were i can barely walk anymore, and when a take only a few steps i get this raging pain in my knees. how can i stop my addiction.

Problems!!! Help Me understand!?

I dont know if it is bad luck, karma or what other term there is, i have been having so many problems. First, I find out i have depression, and anxiety (therapist) and I was only 9 at the time. I hardly want to get up out of my bed and I see really no point in life. I dont remember a time that I was ever happy for more than a few minutes. The day of my graduation, I laughed with my friends and had so much fun, then I chipped my tooth from laughing. First day of middle school I was so excited and energetic, I went to the pool, and I pulled my back muscle, only a year after pulling my stomach muscle.I get a loose tooth every month, and I always have to eat on one side.(i have a lot of dental problems). More situations I couldn't remember...... Fast forward to the end of 6th grade, I was happy and smiling, then I find out my counselor wont be coming back next year, and she was the only person I could talk to. It was only one week since vacation and I WAS relaxed and having fun for a short while. Until a small chip of my tooth came loose and I couldn't eat. Every thing fun has to end in something bad happening for me. My first time on a fun roller coaster, I got extremely nausiated and I almost passed out. On my 10th birthday, my cake got ruined on the way. And, I am only 11 going on 12. I just need help understanding life. For some, they get family members killed, they get illnesses and terrible things occuring. For some they get a much better life. And so many innocent people get killed for no good reason. I think of myself as a nice person. I dont harm, I dont like making people feel bad, and I am the person who does what they are told, and then I am mocked and called a goody-goody. What did I ever do wrong? Or does life just suck like that.
