So funny! I need hair relaxer help?

I got my hair relaxed and the relaxer stayed in longer on the right side of my head than my right side. I so funny because when I wash my hair the right side is bone straight, not a strand out of place, and the other side is so puffy in comparison. Do I need to wait until my next touch up to fix it, so I wont damage my hair?
