Do I have to claim income from a job I quit on medicaid applications?

I am a married pregnant woman who is just over the line of qualifying for Medicaid due to my husband's second job. We have several ER visits that we cannot afford and are trying to get covers. They've recently cut his hours at his second job however and we debated on whether it would be beneficial for him to quit his second job to put us under the line for Medicaid coverage. My question is do I have to claim the job's income for previous months? If we do it would be over and we would likely not qualify for retroactive medicaid coverage.
